Assistant Restaurant Manager (Italian Speaker)

About the role

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Manager in Dubai. The role assists the Restaurant Manager in daily operations, coordinates with the culinary team and the Food and Beverage Manager, and helps recruit, train and supervise the restaurant team. The group operates across hospitality, entertainment, real estate and more.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operations and personally interact with guests during their dining experience, anticipating needs and resolving issues quickly
• Oversee the dining area and other service zones, and coordinate with the culinary team on quality and presentation
• Ensure health and safety standards, sanitation guidelines and food quality control meet regulatory requirements
• Help recruit, train and supervise the restaurant team, run performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
• Analyse financial reports such as sales trends, food and beverage costs and labour costs to identify improvements and optimise profitability
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager and other departments on revenue strategies, promotions and operational planning
• Attend team meetings and training sessions, and stay informed on industry trends and culinary techniques

Required profile

• Fluency in English; Italian is a plus
• Preferred: at least 3 years of experience as a Floor Supervisor or Assistant Restaurant Manager in a luxury hotel
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus
• Proven track record of achieving financial targets, managing budgets and controlling costs
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills, with a hands-on, proactive approach

Required skills

• Computer literacy with Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems
• Understanding of health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards and restaurant operations best practices

What we offer

• A fixed monthly salary of AED 4,400
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, depending on hotel requirements
