Assistant Security Manager

About the role

The Assistant Security Manager will supervise the hotel security team, enforce security policies and ensure compliance with local regulations at Novotel Sharjah Expo Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise security officers, enforce security policies and procedures in line with Novotel guidelines and local regulations.
• Train officers on surveillance equipment, written reporting, record keeping, patrols and first‑aid procedures.
• Oversee security patrols, identify risks and implement proactive safety measures.
• Develop and train staff in basic fire fighting and fire evacuation according to civil‑defence requirements.
• Coordinate with civil defence, police and other authorities for fire drills and security incidents.
• Manage on‑site emergency responses, including fires, medical incidents and safety hazards.
• Investigate and follow up on incidents, losses and accident reports.
• Ensure the security and continuity of organizational data and maintain confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in hotel security or a similar environment.
• Certificates: SIRA Security Manager License, National Skills Recognition System, CPR, First Aid Management and Basic Fire Fighting.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities with a good command of English (written and spoken).
• Understanding of hotel operations and ability to multitask.
