Assistant Security Manager

About the role

Salayel Hospitality is looking for an Assistant Security Manager for its Abu Dhabi property. The role supports on-site security for employees, contractors and military or government entities, directs the third-party security team and works with department heads to deliver a safe client experience while complying with local safety legislation and emergency procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and oversee the security team's strategy and business objectives, including the third-party security team.
• Coordinate patrols of the property, boundaries, offices, storage areas, public areas and function rooms.
• Work with department heads so that all staff understand security procedures and their responsibilities.
• Liaise with government and law enforcement agencies and assist other departments on security matters.
• Prepare incident reports, follow up allegations, and report on internal investigations, losses or regulatory violations.
• Plan and run regular employee security awareness training and assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
• Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms and intrusion alarms, and support emergency response procedures.
• Implement security procedures across operations, call centres, access control, asset classification and reporting tools, and support the Security Manager in reviews and assessments.
• Maintain guest and staff lists, gate passes and identification documents, and supervise entry and exit of staff and contractors.
• Support security during pre-event, event and post-event phases.

Required profile

• University degree; military background is a plus.
• SIRA certification and DPS certification are mandatory.
• Minimum 2-3 years in a similar position, preferably in a 5-star luxury hotel.
• First aid, fire and bomb threat certifications.

Required skills

• Arabic speaking.
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
