HSE Manager - Retail (Sinyar Management Program)

About the role

As part of the Sinyar Management Program, Al-Futtaim Retail is looking for an HSE Manager to help create and maintain a safe working environment across its retail operations. The role works with different teams and stakeholders, gives specialist health, safety and environment guidance, supports compliance with applicable requirements and contributes to improving safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, develop HSE checklists, guidelines and workflows, and oversee the HSSE Incident Management System
• Analyse incident and inspection data and prepare dashboards and reports
• Support compliance with local health and safety laws, manage HSE certificates, attestations and permits, and advise stakeholders on compliance
• Identify opportunities to improve workplace safety, coordinate HSE initiatives and projects from start to delivery, and develop policies, guidelines and procedures
• Conduct workplace inspections and incident investigations, prepare technical reports and maintain inspection and incident records
• Advise on OHS standards, risk assessments and risk mitigation, and deliver OHS awareness sessions
• Work with the Al-Futtaim Group HSSE Committee, prepare presentations and reports for HSSE meetings, and keep stakeholders informed

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience in Health & Safety, Occupational Health or a related field
• Diploma in Engineering, Safety or a related discipline, with NEBOSH, IOSH or an equivalent certification
• Sound knowledge of HSE systems, audits and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Good Microsoft Office and English communication skills; Arabic is a plus
