Assistant Vice President Asset Management (Retail)

About the role

Support the execution of the retail management strategy by analysing financials, managing P&L statements and assisting with asset acquisitions, disposals and transformations. The role works closely with asset managers and retail GMs to optimise asset performance and identify growth opportunities. This position is open exclusively to UAE nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed P&L statements and consolidate financials for review by asset managers.
• Conduct market studies, analyse under‑performing assets (IRR, ROI, ROE) and recommend disposals or transformations.
• Coordinate acquisitions, manage integration and hand‑over of newly acquired retail assets.
• Monitor P&L for assigned retail assets, ensuring financial targets are met through rent pricing and tenant‑mix strategies.
• Build business cases for asset transformations and advise on rent rolls, pricing and operations for community malls.
• Analyse market trends and perform financial analysis on potential acquisitions, disposals or transformations to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Retail GMs to identify synergies, optimise performance and track monthly operational and financial targets.
• Provide insights to the SVP Asset Management on cross‑retail strategies, leasing, tenant mix and KPIs.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience managing retail asset properties with annual revenue exceeding AED 1 billion.
• Strong exposure to the GCC real‑estate market and experience in property management and remedial auctions.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or economics.
• UAE national status (exclusive eligibility).
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with major regional retailers.
