Assistant Vice President – Compliance (Health Insurance) – Dubai

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Compliance supports the VP‑Compliance in ensuring the company meets all applicable regulatory requirements, focusing on health‑insurance regulations issued by the Dubai Health Authority and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi. The role also assists in implementing and monitoring the overall compliance framework and handling additional assignments as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead health‑insurance regulatory compliance, reviewing products, policies, underwriting, claims, and complaints for adherence to DHA and DOH requirements.
• Execute risk‑based compliance monitoring, conduct reviews, report findings, and drive remediation actions across business units.
• Support the preparation of regulatory reports, manage inspections and audits, and maintain an up‑to‑date register of health‑insurance regulatory obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business, insurance, healthcare administration or related field; professional qualification preferred.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or senior advisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of UAE insurance regulation, practical medical‑insurance experience, and familiarity with regulators, inspections and senior governance forums.
