About the role
The VTS Assistant provides administrative support to the Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Centre, ensuring efficient record‑keeping and processing of vessel voyages across all ports. The role involves handling documentation, data entry, and reporting to support smooth maritime operations.
Key responsibilities
- Input information into the Ports Community System and record all vessel movement data.
- Prepare monthly utilization and activity reports for all ports.
- Manage documents electronically and in hard copy, including scanning and filing vessel documents.
- Review operational events, add/fix tariffs, and ensure accurate capture of voyage details.
- Prepare attestation letters (NOC) and handle customer‑focused tasks as directed by the line manager.
Required profile
- Grade 12 education.
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience.
- Proficient written and spoken English.
- Good coordination skills and ability to work proactively.
