Assistant/Associate Professor – Cybersecurity (IT)

About the role

The Department of Information Technology at the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) at Ajman University invites applications for a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor position in Information Technology—Cybersecurity, starting Spring 2026. The selected candidate will focus on research and teaching in Cybersecurity, including undergraduate teaching and industry engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and teach undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity and Computer Science.
• Engage in innovative, technology‑based approaches to learning and teaching.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
• Provide consultancy services to researchers and the business community.
• Assess and track student progress, offering feedback to support success.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publishing in reputable journals and conferences.
• Maintain a respectful and culturally sensitive learning environment.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships across the university and community.

Required profile

• Ph.D. from a reputable university.
• Outstanding teaching record.
• Strong research and publication record in top journals.
• Experience supervising student projects and theses.
• Collaborative, interdisciplinary research experience (advantage).
• Excellent record of community service and scholarly activities.

Required skills

• Effective oral and written communication.
• Familiarity with the Credit Hour academic system.
• Ability to supervise student work and provide academic advising.
• Conduct independent research and publish in reputable venues.
• Work effectively with diverse team members.
• Knowledge of academic program planning and implementation.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
