Assistant/Associate Professor in Accounting & Finance

About the role

The Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare at Gulf Medical University is seeking a motivated academic professional to join its Accounting and Finance faculty as an Assistant or Associate Professor. The role involves teaching, research, and service within a dynamic, internationally‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Accounting, Finance and related subjects.
• Develop and update curricula in line with accreditation standards.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Supervise student projects, theses and dissertations.
• Participate in departmental and university committees and academic service activities.

Required profile

• PhD in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education (Finance, Accounting or Economics).
• For Assistant Professor: relevant teaching, research or professional experience.
• For Associate Professor: substantial teaching record, strong research portfolio and evidence of academic leadership.
• Preferred experience with national or international accreditation processes.
