Assistant/Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

About the role

Ajman University seeks a qualified academic leader to join its College of Dentistry as an Assistant/Associate Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The role involves teaching, research, clinical supervision, and community engagement within the university and its affiliated healthcare facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate curricula, courses, and learning activities aligned with college goals.
• Mentor and supervise students in academic, clinical, and research settings, including clinical supervision in affiliated facilities.
• Lead and contribute to research projects, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, secure grants, and present findings at conferences.
• Provide clinical services, support community health initiatives, and maintain partnerships with external organizations.
• Support departmental budgeting, workforce planning, policy development, and participate in college committees.
• Pursue continuous professional development and model ethical leadership.

Required profile

• PhD from an accredited institution, with Fellowship/Board certification and a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an Assistant/Associate Professor or equivalent, with at least 20 peer‑reviewed publications.
• Demonstrated success in obtaining research funding and academic leadership.
