Associate Buyer – Women’s Fashion

About the role

The Associate Buyer – Women’s Fashion will support Ounass’ buying team in selecting, ordering and managing inventory for the women’s category. You will work closely with local and international suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal stock levels that drive sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Buyer in researching and selecting high‑quality merchandise from suppliers worldwide.
• Place and manage orders after buying trips, ensuring accuracy against the buying plan.
• Monitor product selections, markdowns and stock levels; trigger re‑orders as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, payments, samples and contracts.
• Collaborate with warehouse to resolve shipment issues, damages or discrepancies.
• Handle returns of faulty merchandise and process credit notes.
• Conduct competitive pricing analysis and gather market intelligence through store visits.
• Support customer‑service requests by placing special orders and providing stock information.
• Consolidate buying feedback and prepare reports for the assigned brand portfolio.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Buying, Merchandising, Retailing, Brand Management or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in buying or merchandising, preferably in luxury fashion.
• Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behaviour and competitive analysis.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent English with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using inventory management and order‑processing systems.
