Associate - Client Acceptance Team, Sharjah

About the role

Deloitte is hiring an Associate for its Client Acceptance Team in Sharjah. The role covers compliance and due diligence work for new and existing clients and vendors, including KYC/AML processes, risk assessments and customer due diligence. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established KYC/AML processes for new and existing clients and vendors in line with Deloitte Global and local policies, carry out due diligence and raise concerns with the quality risk representative or management.
• Perform AML risk assessments, analyse AML risks linked to clients and identify red flags, escalating potential risks and operational issues appropriately.
• Comply with all relevant internal policies and procedures.
• Assist with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews, including trigger events and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
• Communicate with teams about compliance and investigative responsibilities, and engage with key stakeholders across the firm to build relationships, improve processes and share knowledge.
• Communicate compliance analysis and findings to management, staff and other business members, and escalate client or engagement risks.
• Proactively manage the centralized KYC mailbox and respond to queries accurately, efficiently and promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Work experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to think strategically, organize and manage a multi-disciplinary team, and to sell additional services to clients.
• Ability to conduct extensive research.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in basic PC applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with a general understanding of data analysis techniques.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
