Associate Director – Cost Management

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead cost management services for high‑profile projects in Abu Dhabi. The role combines strategic oversight, client interaction and delivery of value‑focused cost solutions across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end cost management activities, including feasibility studies, cost planning and procurement strategy development.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis, value management and life‑cycle costing to optimise project outcomes.
• Manage the full procurement process – pre‑qualification, enquiry analysis, vendor selection and contract preparation.
• Serve as the primary client interface, ensuring transparent communication throughout all project phases.
• Oversee post‑contract cost administration, including variance management, change control, cost checking and valuation.
• Prepare and present monthly cost reports that clearly communicate financial performance.
• Drive value engineering initiatives and negotiate final project accounts.
• Mentor and manage cost management teams, fostering a collaborative high‑performing environment.
• Identify and pursue new business development opportunities with existing and prospective clients.

Required profile

• Significant experience in cost management on large, complex construction projects.
