Associate Pipeline Engineer

About the role

The Associate Pipeline Engineer will support the design and analysis of pipeline systems for oil and gas projects. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will apply engineering fundamentals to deliver accurate calculations, documentation, and material specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed design engineering, calculations and analysis for basic pipeline tasks.
• Prepare clear design reports, calculations, and procedures.
• Review and assist with material requisitions, vendor data, and technical queries.
• Develop and review Material Take‑Offs (MTOs) and support purchase requisitions.
• Become familiar with P&IDs, line lists, equipment layouts, plot plans and piping specifications.
• Assist with simple pipe stress analysis using Caesar II and calculate wall thickness, reinforcement pads, and trunnion supports.
• Coordinate with project lead engineers, design supervisors and other discipline designers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 0‑3 years of experience in oil and gas or related engineering field.
• Eager to learn standards, codes and design techniques.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Professional engineering membership or Engineer‑in‑Training status is a plus.

Required skills

• Use of Caesar II or similar pipe stress analysis software.
• Understanding of P&IDs, line lists and piping specifications.
• Ability to perform design calculations for pipe wall thickness and supports.
• Preparation and review of Material Take‑Offs (MTOs) and vendor documentation.
