Associate, Project Finance & Portfolio Management

About the role

Alcazar Energy is seeking an Associate to manage borrower‑side administration of project‑financed SPVs from financial close through construction and operations. This role offers direct exposure to senior management, lenders and external advisors within a fast‑growing renewable energy platform.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with all lender covenants, conditions precedent (CP) and conditions subsequent (CS), and manage related documentation.
• Administer drawdowns, utilisation requests, cash‑flow waterfalls, debt service and hedging activities.
• Calculate and track DSCR, LLCR and other financial ratios, providing early warnings on covenant breaches.
• Prepare periodic operational and financial reports for lenders and manage day‑to‑day lender relationships.
• Maintain and update project financial models, run sensitivity and scenario analyses, and support refinancing or amendment processes.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of project finance experience, including 2–3 years at a developer, IPP, infrastructure fund or sponsor.
• Hands‑on experience administering live project‑financed SPVs end‑to‑end (drawdowns, reporting, waivers, consents, CP/CS, debt service).
• Strong numeracy and accounting literacy with the ability to translate technical analysis for non‑specialist stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple live workstreams under tight deadlines.
