Associate Trade Finance

About the role

The Associate Trade Finance will support the bank’s trade finance, loan and escrow operations, ensuring efficient processing, regulatory compliance and high‑quality client service. Working closely with the line manager, the role contributes to the development of trade finance propositions that align with the bank’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Process and handle trade finance, loan and escrow transactions in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support to relationship teams, including sales materials and drives to grow funded and non‑funded income.
• Identify, monitor and control operational risks across trade finance, loan and escrow activities.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and term sheets for structured trade finance products.
• Conduct UAT testing, system upgrades and continuous improvement of trade finance platforms.
• Coordinate with correspondent banks, external service providers and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth department operations.
• Maintain accurate reporting to senior management on performance metrics, risk assessments and incident handling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of trade finance experience in a banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of letters of credit, bank guarantees, documentary collections and the UCP 600 ICC rules.
• Understanding of AML, KYC and other regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with trade finance systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical, communication and customer‑service skills.
