Associate Vice President – Client Support Lead, Wholesale Banking Technology

About the role

The Wholesale Banking Technology Client Support Lead is a senior, client‑facing techno‑functional role responsible for enabling and supporting corporate customers in their technical integration and ongoing interaction with the bank’s Wholesale Banking platforms. This greenfield leadership position will build and scale a dedicated IT client support function for corporate banking.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a new Wholesale Banking IT Client Support unit, defining operating model, SLAs and team structure.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for priority corporate clients, overseeing onboarding, integration design and issue resolution.
• Provide domain leadership for H2H integrations across payments, liquidity, trade finance, FX and other corporate banking products.
• Drive end‑to‑end resolution of client‑impacting incidents and ensure strict SLA compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of experience in banking technology, preferably in transaction/wholesale banking.
• Proven track record in client‑facing roles, building or scaling new functions and managing corporate relationships in the UAE/GCC region.
• Strong understanding of corporate treasury operations and UAE regulatory environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise in H2H integrations, SWIFT MT, ISO 20022, BAI2 and API design.
• Secure connectivity implementation (SFTP, PGP, VPN, certificates) and middleware integration.
• Knowledge of UAE payment systems (WPS, UAEFTS, IPP) and related compliance requirements.
