Associate/Full Professor – AI & Data Science

About the role

The College of Engineering and Technology at the American University in the Emirates seeks experienced faculty at the Associate or Full Professor level to join its Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science program for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The successful candidate will teach graduate courses, supervise research, and help build a strong research profile.

Key responsibilities

• Teach graduate‑level courses in AI, machine learning, deep learning, data analytics and emerging AI technologies.
• Supervise Master’s theses, guide research methodologies and serve on examination committees.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish in reputable international venues and pursue external research funding.
• Contribute to curriculum development, academic advising, accreditation activities and other college service duties.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of post‑doctoral graduate‑level teaching experience with a strong commitment to teaching excellence.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly publications in peer‑reviewed international journals and conferences.
• Proficiency in modern AI and machine‑learning frameworks, tools and technologies, with practical experience developing AI‑driven solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage), and ability to work in a multicultural academic environment.
