Associates’ Accommodation Cleaner

About the role

The Associates’ Accommodation Cleaner ensures the proper washing, sorting and record‑keeping of associate personal clothing and bed linens at Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa. This full‑time onsite position supports the Accommodation and HR Coordinator in maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment for staff.

Key responsibilities

• Sort and wash associates’ personal clothing, using correct chemicals and preventing colour stains.
• Send soiled bed linens to Le Meridien Al Aqah laundry, keep detailed records, and restock cleaned linens by associate number.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry machines and the laundry area, reporting any damage.
• Assist with room preparation, furniture shifting, and vending‑machine item relocation.
• Cover additional duties such as corridor cleaning, shower‑head repairs, garbage removal and support during staff absence.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a laundry environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pro‑active, reliable and able to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.

Required skills

• Knowledge of laundry chemicals and fabric types.
• Ability to operate and clean industrial laundry machines.
• Accurate record‑keeping for laundry transactions.
• Basic maintenance skills for minor repairs (e.g., shower heads, bidets).
