Audit Senior – External Audit

About the role

Russell Bedford International, a full-service auditing and accounting practice licensed in the Dubai International Financial Centre since 2006 and regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority, is looking for a fully qualified CA, ACCA or CPA to join its team as an Audit Senior. The role is based in DIFC and involves meeting client commitments on external and internal audit engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute external and internal audit engagements and complete audit files within the agreed timeframe.
• Perform audit work to the high quality expected of the firm's employees.
• Assist with planning of external and internal audits, including budgeting, staffing planning and audit planning meetings.
• Coordinate each engagement from planning to completion within the set timeframe and quality standards.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and their staff.
• Delegate to junior team members, provide on-the-job training and give feedback.

Required profile

• Currently based in the UAE with a minimum of 4-5 years of external audit experience with a mid-tier or Big 4 audit firm.
• CA, ACCA or CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
• Preference for candidates currently working in an audit firm.
• Ability to build strong client knowledge and act as an extension of the client, and to liaise with colleagues across the firm.
• Team player with a can-do attitude, keen interest in a challenging and sociable environment, and commitment to continuous learning.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS.
• External audit execution and audit file preparation.
