Audit Supervisor - Financial Services (Dubai)

About the role

KPMG Middle East is hiring an Audit Supervisor for its Financial Services practice in Dubai. The role is responsible for executing the audit plan and delivering knowledge and business solutions to clients, reducing risk and increasing revenue through KPMG audit methodologies. It covers medium and large-sized clients.

Key responsibilities

• Complete audit planning and carry out fieldwork, allocating work appropriately to audit assistants
• Coach audit assistants
• Prepare financial statements, transmittal letters and other deliverables
• Keep managers and partners informed of progress and issues throughout the audit
• Obtain partner and manager reviews and complete documentation and follow-up of outstanding information
• Prepare and analyse costs on the WIP for audits, prepare fee note requisitions on time and follow up collection of debtors
• Maintain a good relationship with the client's finance function
• Attend stock counts and follow up on them

Required profile

• BSc in accounting or equivalent; accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA
• 3 years' experience, minimum 2 years after qualification
• Prior experience with clients in real estate, construction and related industries and oil & gas
• Hands-on experience in advanced audit methodologies
• Fluent English and Arabic (speaking, reading, writing and listening)
