Audit Supervisor – UAE Clients

About the role

The Audit Supervisor will lead audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of UAE clients, ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and local regulations. You will manage the full audit lifecycle, supervise junior staff, and act as the primary liaison with client finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise statutory and other audit engagements from commencement through completion.
• Develop audit plans, assess risks, perform substantive procedures and review working papers.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify deficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Review financial statements for IFRS and UAE regulatory compliance.
• Supervise, coach and review the work of junior auditors.
• Manage audit timelines, budgets and client deliverables.

Required profile

• ACCA Affiliate/Member or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 4–6 years of external audit experience, with at least 1–2 years supervising engagements.
• UAE audit experience and exposure to SMEs and owner‑managed businesses is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
• Experience with audit risk assessment, materiality, sampling and substantive procedures.
• Familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT.
• Proficiency in audit software, cloud‑based accounting platforms and Microsoft Excel.
