AutoCAD Draughtsman - Civil & Landscaping

About the role

A leading construction company in Abu Dhabi is urgently hiring a full-time AutoCAD Draughtsman for civil construction and landscaping. The successful candidate prepares detailed technical drawings for construction projects, including civil, architectural, structural and landscaping drawings, and coordinates them with consultants and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for civil, architectural, structural and landscaping projects
• Develop landscaping drawings: hardscape, softscape, irrigation layouts, planting plans, paving designs and external works
• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, detailed sections, elevations and construction layouts
• Create and modify landscape designs for residential villas, commercial buildings and infrastructure projects
• Coordinate with civil engineers, landscape architects, project managers, consultants and site engineers
• Review drawings to identify discrepancies and resolve technical issues, updating them according to site conditions and consultant instructions
• Assist with material quantity take-offs and BOQs, maintain drawing registers and project documentation, and support drawing approvals
• Conduct site visits when required to verify dimensions against actual site conditions

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant UAE experience in a construction or landscaping company
• Strong practical experience in landscaping design, hardscape and softscape drawings, and civil construction drafting
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi construction standards, consultant requirements and municipality procedures
• Good English communication skills and ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines; immediate joiners preferred

Required skills

• Excellent AutoCAD proficiency (2D and 3D); mandatory
• Highly preferred: Autodesk Civil 3D, SketchUp, Autodesk Revit, 3ds Max / Lumion / Enscape, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel and MS Office
• Knowledge of landscape design software, irrigation drafting tools and construction design applications is an added advantage
