AutoCAD Draughtsman – Fire Fighting Systems

About the role

NAFFCO is seeking an AutoCAD Draughtsman specialized in fire fighting systems to produce accurate shop, coordination and as‑built drawings. The role supports safe, compliant project delivery across commercial, residential and industrial sites in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for fire fighting components such as sprinklers, risers, hydrants, hose reels, deluge, foam systems, fire pumps and tanks.
• Develop plans, sections, elevations, isometrics, installation and builders’ work drawings, and maintain as‑built records.
• Interpret engineering, architectural and MEP designs, produce pipework layouts, and coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings to resolve clashes.
• Support site teams with updated drawings, technical clarifications and installation details, and prepare material take‑offs and equipment schedules.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and document control in line with NFPA, BS codes and local authority requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical qualification in Drafting, Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience preparing fire fighting system drawings and coordinating MEP packages on UAE or GCC projects.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (layers, blocks, external references, annotation).
• Knowledge of fire fighting system components and NFPA/BS standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings.
• Familiarity with Revit MEP, Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools.
