Automatic Car Parking System Operator

About the role

The Automatic Car Parking System Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring and basic troubleshooting of automated car parking systems. The role covers operating the system, assisting users, monitoring performance, coordinating with the technical maintenance team and keeping daily operations running smoothly in line with safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the system, managing vehicle entry, parking, retrieval and exit through the control panel or operator interface, and keeping records of operations and incidents.
• Carry out operations according to approved safety procedures, verify vehicle positioning, prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas and report unsafe conditions or emergencies to the supervisor.
• Perform initial checks on alarms and errors, report common issues to the maintenance team, coordinate with technicians during inspections and repairs, and assist with preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Assist customers with parking and retrieval, give clear instructions on using the system, handle queries and complaints and keep the environment professional and customer-friendly.
• Maintain daily operational logs, record downtime, alarms and maintenance requests, report recurring issues and ensure a proper handover between shifts.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in equipment operation, automated systems, parking systems, industrial machinery or a similar technical environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment; familiarity with control panels, operator interfaces, alarms and automated equipment is an advantage.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and to work at project sites.
