Senior SolidWorks Designer

About the role

Hitech, an integrated engineering consulting and business process solutions organization with offices in the USA, UK and delivery centres in India, is looking for a highly skilled Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience (or a diploma holder with 7+ years) specializing in SolidWorks. The role covers sheet metal, metal fabrication and welding, with knowledge of standardization and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage parts, assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Apply standard drawing practices, including welding symbols and tolerances.
• Develop designs that account for sheet metal properties and fabrication processes.
• Use knowledge of standard fabrication materials and integrate welding practices into designs.
• Use intermediate quality tools and follow standardization processes.
• Communicate complex design concepts clearly, verbally and in writing, and manage client communication.
• Coordinate multiple projects, keep documentation precise and share knowledge with the team.

Required profile

• BE in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with a BE Mechanical degree, or 7+ years with a diploma in a relevant field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.
