AV & IT Support Specialist

About the role

The AV & IT Support Specialist will ensure flawless operation of audio‑visual and IT services for the Al Ain Campus auditorium and university-wide events. This role combines technical expertise in AV equipment with day‑to‑day IT support to deliver professional, reliable experiences for conferences, lectures, ceremonies and hybrid sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Review event requirements, perform technical checks, rehearsals and operate AV equipment during live events.
• Provide immediate troubleshooting and solutions for audio, video, projection, lighting, video‑conferencing and live‑streaming issues.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis of AV systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs, upgrades and equipment procurement.
• Manage IT help‑desk tickets, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and support Microsoft 365 and approved applications.
• Maintain reliability and security of all AV and IT infrastructure on campus.

Required profile

• Strong AV expertise with hands‑on experience in auditorium environments.
• Solid IT support capabilities, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Commitment to accountability, continuous improvement and alignment with institutional standards.
