AV PreSales Engineer – Technical Design & Sales Support

About the role

The AV PreSales Engineer will design and sell advanced audio‑visual integration solutions across Dubai and the GCC. Working closely with the sales team, you will translate client requirements into technically robust, commercially viable designs for corporate, government, hospitality and education projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed AV system designs, including schematics, rack layouts, cable schedules and AV‑over‑IP network architecture.
• Prepare tender documentation such as BOQs, BOMs, scopes of work, technical narratives and cost estimates, ensuring compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
• Conduct on‑site surveys, present value‑engineered designs to consultants and decision‑makers, and support the sales cycle from proposal to contract award.
• Manage relationships with regional AV manufacturers and distributors to secure pricing, product availability and technical support for bids.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of AV presales and design experience in the UAE/GCC, with a proven record on medium‑to‑large commercial projects.
• AVIXA CTS‑D certification (mandatory) and a valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, MS Visio, Revit, Bluebeam for design documentation.
• DSP platforms: QSC, Biamp, BSS.
• Control systems: Crestron, Extron, AMX.
• AV‑over‑IP technologies: Dante, Crestron NVX, Q‑SYS.
• Network fundamentals: VLANs, QoS, IGMP, multicast, Layer 2/3 architecture.
• Estimation tools: D‑Tools or similar.
