AV Technician

About the role

Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, a 5-star resort in Ras Al Khaimah, is looking for an AV Technician. You will install, operate, maintain and troubleshoot audio-visual systems and equipment across the property, supporting meetings, events, conferences and guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain and troubleshoot AV equipment such as sound systems, microphones, projectors, LED screens, televisions, video conferencing systems and related technologies.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance of AV equipment.
• Set up and test AV systems for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings and other events.
• Respond quickly to AV issues and provide technical support to guests and colleagues.
• Maintain AV systems in guest areas, meeting rooms, banquet venues, restaurants and public spaces.
• Coordinate with the Events, Banquets, Sales and Operations teams for successful event execution.
• Ensure AV equipment is stored, maintained and accounted for, and inspect installations and work areas for safety hazards.
• Support all departments with their audiovisual needs and follow hotel standards, health and safety rules and preventive maintenance procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar AV Technician role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of audio, video, lighting and conferencing systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple event setups in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting audio, video and lighting systems.
• Familiarity with digital sound systems, projectors, LED displays and video conferencing platforms.
