Aviation Site Manager - Dubai Airport

About the role

The DXB Aviation Site Manager leads the safe, compliant and efficient day-to-day aviation refuelling operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB). The role ensures reliable aircraft refuelling, delivers HSSE and operational performance targets, manages airport operational resources and assets, and maintains strong relationships with customers, airport authorities, contractors and joint venture partners.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe, on-time and cost-efficient refuelling of customer aircrafts and implement Shell's HSSE programs and policies, including the annual HSSE plan and HSSE KPIs
• Monitor costs and budget performance, keeping POS costs within plan
• Maintain compliance with Shell standards (SAOM, SAQAM, SAMM, SEAM), Dubai Airport regulations and UAE law
• Keep sales data and KPIs accurate and on time for invoicing
• Oversee asset reliability through preventive maintenance, defect reporting and root-cause resolution, and spare inventory management
• Manage third-party manpower contracts and optimise manpower, equipment, traffic surveys and fleet dashboards
• Support continuous improvement, adoption of i6 and related digital platforms, and act as the operational focal point for throughput locations
• Engage with stakeholders through safety campaigns, safety days and market intelligence, and support future transition projects to Al Maktoum International (DWC)
• Promote proactive reporting of potential incidents and near misses, investigate incidents with Regional HSSE support, and coach and develop the team

Required profile

• Experienced operations professional with sound operational and technical knowledge of aviation fuel operations, including into-plane activities and joint venture environments
• Strong analytical skills, leadership and people management skills, and proven stakeholder relationship building
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Preferred: engineering qualification

Required skills

• Understanding of HSSE principles, risk management and compliance standards
• Knowledge of aviation fuel operations and airport operations
