AVP Credit Management & Control – Corporate Origination & Business Development

About the role

The role is responsible for end‑to‑end onboarding of corporate clients, focusing on new‑to‑bank relationships across the UAE and Mashreq’s regional markets. You will prepare high‑quality credit applications, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and manage key risks in line with the bank’s credit appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with originators on new‑to‑bank transactions, discussing funding requirements, facility structures and terms.
• Prepare comprehensive credit proposals, identifying operational and financial risks and assessing debt repayment capacity.
• Submit credit applications within the bank’s turnaround time standards while maximizing share of wallet.
• Highlight policy exceptions, recommend mitigants, and ensure alignment with the bank’s risk appetite.
• Conduct transaction screening and independent due diligence (e.g., CBRB check, E‑name, desktop search).
• Liaise with Credit Risk Management, Legal, Operations, Middle Office and Compliance to support transaction execution and account opening.
• Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly reports and participate in quarterly risk and control assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with a strong GPA; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 6‑7 years of experience in credit risk management or corporate banking.
• UAE national eligibility.
