AVP, Screening Optimization & Analytics

About the role

The AVP will support the Tuning, Calibration & Analytics function within Financial Crime Operations, focusing on sanctions screening and AML monitoring platforms. The role ensures optimal configuration, reduces false positives, and provides actionable analytics for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain fit‑for‑purpose screening and monitoring configurations across the Group.
• Conduct periodic tuning, calibration and optimization projects, coordinating with IT and business stakeholders.
• Produce management information dashboards and regular reports using SQL, Power BI and basic scripting.
• Support system design, UAT, and change‑request processes for sanctions screening and AML monitoring tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in data analysis, sanctions screening or AML monitoring systems.
• Strong knowledge of financial crime compliance, sanctions and AML concepts.

Required skills

• SQL and Power BI for data extraction and reporting.
• Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, KSH or PowerShell.
• Experience with screening platforms (e.g., Fircosoft filter, Firco Utilities) or equivalent tools.
• Understanding of tuning, calibration and threshold management in AML contexts.
