Azure Data Engineer – Security Data Pipelines

About the role

We are seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design and operate secure, high‑volume data pipelines that feed security telemetry into our SIEM and Azure analytics platforms. Based in the United Arab Emirates, you will support a regulated financial services environment where data integrity and rapid threat detection are critical.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ingestion pipelines for security logs targeting Azure Data Explorer and Log Analytics.
• Parse, normalize, enrich and validate structured and unstructured telemetry using regex, JSON parsing and schema mapping.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security and vendor teams to onboard new log sources and ensure end‑to‑end data flow.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ingestion, transformation and data‑quality issues across cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Document onboarding procedures, data mappings, pipeline configurations and operational support processes.
• Conduct telemetry gap analyses and recommend improvements to increase coverage, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Support infrastructure‑as‑code, scripting and automation initiatives to streamline deployment.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building data pipelines in Azure for security or monitoring use cases.
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance and regulatory compliance in a financial services context.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and resolve complex ingestion challenges.
