B2 Aircraft Engineer – Base Maintenance (Full‑time)

About the role

As an Aircraft Engineer you will perform and certify maintenance activities in line with Etihad’s authorization policy. You will also lead and guide Aircraft Technicians, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in full regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Certify your own work and that of others after verifying tasks against approved data and authorization scope.
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time according to company procedures.
• Carry out maintenance in compliance with company, health‑and‑safety and airport regulations.
• Prepare all materials, parts, tools, equipment and documentation at the start of each shift.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Provide guidance and assistance to Technicians to ensure safe and effective working practices.

Required profile

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA, EASA Part‑66 or ICAO type convertible to GCAA).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience in a Base/Light Maintenance environment.
• 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least two Etihad type ratings (Level 3) – Airbus A320/A330neo/A350/A380 or Boeing 777/787 – with valid company authorization.
• Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork mindset and a commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.

Required skills

• Aircraft maintenance certification (GCAA/EASA/ICAO).
• Base/Light maintenance operations.
• Airbus A320/A330neo/A350/A380 type rating knowledge.
• Boeing 777/787 type rating knowledge.
