Backend Developer (Node.js/NestJS)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance server‑side applications and APIs. The role focuses on Node.js and NestJS while offering the chance to work with .NET technologies for enterprise integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJS.
• Create and document secure RESTful APIs and, where needed, GraphQL endpoints.
• Design, integrate, and optimise relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, applying caching and asynchronous processing.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth, and RBAC.
• Write unit, integration, and API tests; participate in automated testing initiatives.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and support production issues, performing root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to version control (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience developing backend systems with Node.js and NestJS.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, backend architecture, and scalability concepts.
• Experience with relational database design and SQL.
