Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will own the reliability and operational performance of critical production systems for a high‑throughput platform. Working remotely from the United Arab Emirates, you will collaborate with globally distributed product teams to design resilient services and mentor engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, linking reliability data to engineering priorities.
• Lead high‑severity incident response, conduct post‑mortems, and improve alert quality.
• Design, operate, and automate secure, cost‑efficient infrastructure using Terraform and cloud services.
• Perform capacity planning, load testing, and progressive delivery to ensure safe deployments.
• Develop production‑ready tooling and developer‑facing software to reduce operational toil.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in SRE, production engineering, or backend engineering in cloud‑native environments.
• Proven track record of owning systems end‑to‑end, handling incident response, and improving reliability practices.
• Strong understanding of distributed‑system failure modes, capacity constraints, and load‑shedding techniques.

Required skills

• Infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform (or equivalent).
• Programming in Go or Python.
• Kubernetes/EKS and container orchestration.
• Observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with Redis or ElastiCache clustering and scaling.
