About the role
Barclays is recruiting an Off-Cycle Intern for its Investment Banking division in Dubai, for a 3-6 month placement. The internship offers longer exposure to projects than a summer internship, with the chance to work on live deals, client pitches and the development of new products and services. It suits students in their penultimate or final year of a degree.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate on live deals and client pitches, and advise a broad range of corporate clients
- Work with cross-functional teams on business initiatives
- Take part in training and development programmes
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases and help launch new products and services
- Manage client relationships and provide customer service support, answering product questions and processing transactions under steadily decreasing supervision
- Develop and implement financial models and strategies used in investment banking decisions
Required profile
- Penultimate or final year of a degree, in any discipline
- Fluent English; Arabic is desirable
- Interest in business and finance, and curiosity to learn
- Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit, shown for example through extracurricular activities
