Banquet Captain

About the role

The Captain is responsible for overseeing banquet and function services at JW Marriott Dubai, ensuring seamless coordination between kitchen, service staff, and guests. You will manage set‑up, service execution, and guest satisfaction for group functions and events.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate service needs to chefs and stewards throughout functions.
• Prepare and present checks to group contacts for payment.
• Ensure banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks are ready for service.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Inspect cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver before use.
• Relay dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Follow company safety policies and report incidents.
• Uphold uniform and personal appearance standards.
• Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
