Banquet Commis (Level 1) – Full‑Time

About the role

The Banquet Commis (Level 1) supports the banquet kitchen by preparing special meals, managing temperature controls, and ensuring food quality and presentation meet Le Méridien standards. This full‑time, on‑site role requires close coordination with chefs and service staff to deliver seamless banquet experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to maintain proper cooking temperatures.
• Thaw frozen items in refrigeration units and monitor portioning, arrangement, and garnish of dishes.
• Maintain food logs, track quality and quantity, and communicate menu specials or out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
• Inform the chef of excess food for daily specials and ensure consistent food quality.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to uniform standards, protect confidential information, and support a clean, professional work environment.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
