Banquet Events Coordinator

About the role

The Banquet Events Coordinator will oversee daily banquet operations at The Meydan Hotel, ensuring luxury service standards and guest satisfaction. You will work closely with the Banquets Manager, culinary team and service staff to deliver flawless events from setup to breakdown.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Catering Manager in creating and distributing Banquet Event Orders to all relevant departments.
• Supervise banquet staff, schedule breaks, assign duties and provide necessary training.
• Maintain communication across shifts, ensure proper handovers and address last‑minute guest or organiser changes.
• Set up and refresh banquet rooms, ensuring correct placement of china, glassware, linen and AV equipment.
• Inspect table settings for cleanliness and compliance with group requirements and hotel standards.
• Handle guest billing, ensure all checks are signed and coordinate with the chef on menu details.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years experience in banquet operations or event management within a 5‑star hotel.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and supervise a diverse team.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills, able to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for interacting with guests, staff and vendors.

Required skills

• Knowledge of banquet setups, AV equipment and luxury service standards.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and food‑safety practices.
