Bar Manager – Karma By Budha Bar

About the role

The Bar Manager will lead the Karma By Budha Bar, ensuring smooth daily operations, exceptional guest experiences and profitability. Reporting to hotel management, you will oversee service standards, staff performance and beverage cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all bar operations, guaranteeing efficient service and high-quality beverage presentation.
• Lead, train, coach and schedule the bar team, allocating duties and maintaining morale.
• Monitor sales, revenue, profitability and implement upselling initiatives.
• Control beverage costs, wastage and breakages; conduct monthly stocktakes.
• Oversee inventory, receiving, storage and rotation of all drinks.
• Develop cocktail menus, promotions and new beverage offerings.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, hygiene, health, safety and local responsible‑service regulations.
• Maintain bar cleanliness, equipment upkeep and coordinate with F&B, kitchen, finance and purchasing departments.
• Prepare and review daily operational and sales reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, food & beverage management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of bar‑operation experience, including supervisory or managerial roles in a hotel, resort or high‑volume bar.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits and bar service techniques.
• Experience in beverage cost control, inventory management and revenue generation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Understanding of health, safety, hygiene and responsible beverage service requirements.
