Barista – Arabic Speaking – Noor Lounge

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira is seeking an Arabic‑speaking Barista to join the Noor Lounge team. You will craft premium coffee, tea and creative non‑alcoholic beverages while delivering the brand’s legendary service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and garnish coffee, espresso, blended drinks and teas according to brand standards.
• Explain menu concepts and beverage characteristics to guests in both English and Arabic.
• Set up the bar station, manage mise en place and ensure all equipment is ready for service.
• Maintain inventory levels, conduct daily and monthly stock checks, and follow FIFO and temperature controls.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and report them to management.
• Assist the Bar Supervisor in creating new blended drinks for promotions and menu updates.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale system, process orders, and perform cashiering duties when required.
• Clean, sanitize and deep‑clean bar areas, storage facilities and fridges after shifts.

Required profile

• High school qualification; a degree or HND in Hospitality/Hotel Management is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a bartender/barista in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English and Arabic.
• Strong team‑player attitude with a focus on operational excellence.

Required skills

• Point of Sale (POS) system operation
• Cashiering procedures
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office
