Barista – Breakfast On 36th

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai is seeking a skilled Barista to join its Restaurants, Bars & Experiences team. You will craft a range of creative non‑alcoholic beverages, coffee, espresso, blended drinks and teas while supporting wait staff and maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present outstanding coffee, espresso, blended coffee, teas and other non‑alcoholic drinks according to brand standards.
• Set up the bar counter each shift, manage inventory and ensure all ingredients and equipment are ready.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, reporting issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, conduct deep cleaning and ensure proper product dating.
• Assist in developing new blended drinks for promotions and perform cashier duties when required.

Required profile

• High school qualification; degree or HND in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management preferred.
• Minimum 3 years barista/bartender experience in a high‑end setting and at least 2 years in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Fluent in English (Arabic or additional languages a plus) with strong interpersonal communication.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with restaurant point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and cashiering procedures.
• Ability to create classic and innovative beverage recipes.
