Barista – Dubai Science Park Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a service‑oriented Barista to join the Food & Beverage team at Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park. You will prepare and serve handcrafted coffee, specialty teas and seasonal drinks while delivering the warm hospitality our guests expect.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, teas and seasonal drinks in line with IHG brand standards.
• Provide exceptional guest service, taking orders accurately, recommending menu items and addressing guest needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and food‑safety standards, ensuring workstations are organized and compliant with Dubai Municipality regulations.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain coffee equipment, coordinating with maintenance for any issues.
• Manage inventory, monitor product levels, apply FIFO procedures and handle POS transactions accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years barista experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel, high‑volume café or specialty coffee outlet in the UAE.
• High school diploma or equivalent; barista certification (e.g., SCA) or hospitality diploma preferred.
• Valid Basic Food Hygiene Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic or other languages are a plus.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, weekends and public holidays.
