Barista

About the role

The Barista will be a key member of the food & beverage team at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, delivering high‑quality coffee and beverage experiences to guests in a luxury beachfront hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the coffee station and outlet to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, efficiency and hygiene.
• Take beverage orders accurately, prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold drinks, including espresso‑based specialties, teas, juices and smoothies.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, blenders and other beverage equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure correct grinding, extraction, milk steaming, temperature, portion control and presentation for every drink.
• Monitor stock levels, rotate inventory using FIFO, report shortages or equipment issues and assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Provide warm, personalized service, recommend drinks based on guest preferences and handle feedback or complaints professionally.
