Barista

About the role

Rixos Premium Dubai JBR, a luxury hotel offering Turkish hospitality, is hiring a full-time Barista. The role covers preparing and serving drinks, managing the bar counter and supporting the outlet's daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverage orders according to recipes and service standards, and know all bar products and cocktail recipes.
• Upsell to every customer and deliver personalised, efficient and friendly service.
• Prepare mise-en-place, collect general and food and beverage requisitions, and check beverage stock against opening and closing procedures.
• Keep the bar counter and surroundings clean and organised, and monitor operating supplies to reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Handle guest enquiries courteously, build good relationships with guests and perform cashiering duties.
• Display premium liquors properly, keep garnishes ready for all cocktails and train new recruits on the job.
• Perform assigned duties in the Banqueting Department or elsewhere, and assist in inventory checks.
• Report for duty on time in the correct uniform, follow the Employee Handbook and fire, hygiene, health and safety policies, and be flexible to take on other reasonable duties.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality.
• 1-2 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
