Barista – Luxury Hotel & Residences

About the role

Join InterContinental Dubai Marina Hotel & Residences as a Barista, delivering high‑quality coffee and exceptional guest experiences in a five‑star luxury setting. You will work in a dynamic environment, interacting with an international clientele and supporting the hotel’s Food & Beverage team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee, espresso‑based beverages, teas and specialty drinks, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
• Build genuine guest relationships, anticipate preferences and promote signature beverages, pastries and seasonal offerings to drive revenue.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders and barista equipment, performing routine cleaning and troubleshooting to minimise service interruptions.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups and other supplies, communicating replenishment needs and assisting with stock rotation.
• Comply with HACCP, food safety, hygiene and health‑and‑safety regulations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of relevant experience as a barista, preferably in a high‑end hotel or upscale café environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Outgoing personality with a passion for delivering excellent service.
• Team‑player attitude, able to support colleagues and adapt to varied tasks.

Required skills

• Coffee machine operation and espresso beverage preparation.
• Inventory management for coffee, milk, syrups and related supplies.
• Food safety and HACCP compliance.
