B&F Talent Coach - Ginger Moon

About the role

The B&F Talent Coach at the Ginger Moon, a W Hotels property in Dubai, supports the team so that staff work together to deliver optimum service and meet guest needs. The role also covers opening and closing duties, inventory, maintenance work orders and coaching employees.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure staff work as a team to provide optimum service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire and correct any deficiencies.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use and cleanliness.
• Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline and motivation, and act as a role model and first point of contact for the Open Door Policy.
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and welcome and assist guests, including those with disabilities.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals and suggest improvements to efficiency, quality, safety and cost savings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move through narrow or elevated spaces.
