Bid Manager – Infrastructure & Marine Projects

About the role

The Bid Manager plays a central role in securing the future project pipeline across the Middle East and Africa, leading complex, high‑value tenders for marine and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage each tender as a standalone project with full administrative and financial oversight.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, planning, procurement, legal, finance, HSE) to develop compliant and competitive bids.
• Lead cost estimation, pricing strategy, and financial modeling to meet target margins and risk exposure.
• Perform contractual and commercial risk analyses, including review of international frameworks such as FIDIC.
• Organize site visits, progress meetings, and client coordination, and lead commercial and technical negotiations.
• Ensure high‑quality submissions, strict deadline adherence, and alignment with corporate governance standards.
• Support handover to project delivery teams upon contract award.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 8‑12 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in bid management or tendering.
• Proven track record delivering bids for infrastructure and marine projects (ports, dredging, bridges, coastal works).
• Experience leading tenders in Africa and/or the Middle East and managing French‑speaking stakeholders.

Required skills

• Cost estimation and pricing development.
• Financial modeling for large‑scale projects.
• Knowledge of FIDIC, EPC, Design‑Build and ECI contracting models.
• Commercial and contractual risk analysis.
• Management of tender projects including planning, scheduling, documentation and financial oversight.
