BMS Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled BMS Technician to join ALEC Technologies in the UAE. The role involves installing, testing, and commissioning building management system (BMS) hardware and ensuring all work follows approved drawings, standards, and safety procedures. This position is on‑site and will require relocation.

Key responsibilities

• Install and terminate BMS field devices such as sensors, actuators, and controllers according to approved drawings.
• Perform panel wiring, ferruling, cable glanding, and basic control panel connections.
• Lay and route field communication cables, supporting proper installation of BMS controllers, I/O modules, and network switches.
• Read and follow shop drawings, panel GA drawings, and installation instructions.
• Conduct basic point‑to‑point testing for field devices and controllers, and support analog/digital I/O verification.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic wiring, device, and communication faults.
• Adhere to project standards, safety rules, and quality requirements throughout installation work.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and support daily installation and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in BMS installation and commissioning, preferably on commercial buildings or data‑center projects.
• Hands‑on experience with major BMS platforms (Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls) is an advantage.

Required skills

• BMS field device installation and termination.

• Reading and interpreting shop and GA drawings.
• Basic troubleshooting of wiring and communication issues.
